CME Congress 2012

Welcome to the Conference!

Welcome

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Steering, Scientific and Economic Committees it is our pleasure to welcome you to CME Congress 2012.

Since its inception over 20 years ago, the CME Congress has been recognized as the pre-eminent international conference for researchers and practitioners concerned.

with continuing professional development and continuing medical education.

With that in mind the Steering and Scientific Committees have put together an exciting and innovative program which focuses on the key issues of learning and assessment facing the world of CME/CPD in 2012. These issues are covered in the five Congress themes:

  • Medical Simulation
  • Safety and Quality Improvement
  • Assessment of clinicians
  • Optimizing learning
  • Interprofessional Continuing Education

Each of our plenary sessions will be dedicated to one of these themes. During the concurrent sessions our Workshops, Symposia, Best Practice and Research Papers and the new and innovative additions “Innovations Booth” and “Fringe” will provide some practical, clinical, and research applications for these themes. We hope you will also take time to explore the poster hall and see the great work being done by our colleagues around the world.

We would like to thank our partner CME/CPD professional and academic associations:

  • Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP),
  • Association for Hospital Medical Education (AHME),
  • Canadian Association of Continuing Health Education (CACHE),
  • Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME),
  • University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine, Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development.

These organizations along with our financial supporters have all contributed to the success of this meeting.

Let us continue to learn together, through research, education and collaboration, as we strive for excellence in health care.

Please enjoy the hospitality and entertainment of the world’s most multicultural city. (UNESCO)

Make your time in Toronto a memorable one.
