Bernard Marlow

Bernard MarlowDr. Bernard Marlow is the Director of Continuing Professional Development for The College of Family Physicians of Canada.

During his 35+ year career as a family physician, Dr. Marlow has worked in several practice environments: walk-in, solo physician, large group practice, and a large multidisciplinary managed practice.

Dr. Marlow began his career in CME in 1979, working as a hospital CME coordinator at Women's College Hospital. From 1992 to 2003, he was the Director of CME for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and served as Chair of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine Continuing Education Committee. He has served on the Board of the Foundation for Medical Practice Education, the Alliance for CME ( ACME) and is a founder and Past President of the Canadian Association for CHE (CACHE). In 2008 he was awarded Fellowship in the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education.

He has conducted research and published in several areas of continuing medical education. Over the years, he has facilitated many workshops and presented lectures on both clinical and educational topics.
