Craig Campbell

Craig CampbellDr. Craig Campbell obtained his MD from the University of Manitoba in 1978. He is a specialist in Internal Medicine and has served as the Director of the Office of Professional Affairs at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada since March 2002.

Dr. Campbell’s research and development interests in continuing professional development are focused on the competencies that enable effective lifelong learning, the impact of self-assessment and practice assessment in promoting learning and change, and the role of learning portfolios in enabling and enhancing self-directed learning in practice.

Dr. Campbell currently holds an academic appointment as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is the past President of The Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME) and chaired the Society’s Research Committee.
