Dave Pieper

Dave Pieper has a Ph.D. in Medical Physiology and has a background in medical research in addition to a background in the continuum of medical education at the undergraduate, medical student, graduate and continuing medical education levels. Dr. Pieper is currently the Assistant Dean in charge of CME at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and Executive Director of the Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education (SEMCME), a consortium of most of the teaching hospitals in Southeast Michigan, which organizes GME and faculty development programs and helps coordinate medical student rotations. He has been the Editor-in-Chief for the Alliance for CME Almanac and of the SACME Intercom. He has chaired the SACME Communications Committee, the AHME Council for CME and Tri-Group Committee. He has served on the Board of Directors of SACME and AHME and is also President-Elect for AHME. He just completed a 6 year term on the ACCME Accreditation Review Committee. Dr. Pieper has over 60 peer reviewed publications in basic science, clinical medicine and medical education journals.
